SLANEY MANOR is an Olde World country estate, overlooking the Slaney River, five kilometres west of Wexford town and sixteen kilometres from Rosslare Harbour. The main entrance to Slaney Manor is on N25 five hundred metres west of the N11 - N25 junction. Car parking is free of charge.
Slaney Manor is comprised of; a Manor House, a COURTYARD, a restored CASTLE, a MUD-WALLED CABIN and twenty five hectares of farm and parkland. Slaney Manor (Barntown House) was developed by Thomas Perceval in the mid eighteenth century.

The British Prime Minister Spencer Perceval who was assassinated in the House of Commons in 1812 was a member of Thomas’ extended family. Edward Perceval of Barntown was the sheriff of Wexford during the Great Irish Rebellion of 1798. Bishop James Caulfield who was the Roman Catholic bishop of Wexford during the same rebellion was a family member of the present owner of Slaney Manor.
The British Admiral David Beatty 1st Earl Beatty, of Jutland (1871-1936) lived in Slaney Manor when he was a boy.
